Testimonials
- "I would recommend Gordon to anyone and everyone. Very good with guitar repairs and custom work. Built my guitar from the ground up!"
-Stephen Reinhardt - "I've owned a Les Paul Deluxe for several years, and I had never been all that happy with it...I was actually ready to sell the guitar because I didn't think it had the sound or feel I was looking for. I heard about Gordon's work from several guitarists I know, and I handed my guitar over to him. After I got it back, I was so impressed with the sound and playability that I knew I would keep it. Top-quality work- he definitely knows what he's doing, and I would not hesitate to have him work on my guitars again."
-Mike Green - "I have always liked my Martin DX1E, but once Gordon got a hold of it and set it up right, I love my guitar! Thanks Gordon!"
-Duane Habecker - "As a professional guitarist and perfectionist, I expect my instrument to be in pristine working and playing condition. If anything ever goes wrong with my Gibson, I take it to Gordon Fava. He knows my guitar almost better than me! Anytime there is a problem, he pinpoints it and takes care of it. He is one of the few luthiers /technicians I trust and has been servicing my guitar for years. He is an artisan of instrumental adjustments and I highly recommend his services for anyone's instrumental needs."
-Clark Abbott - "One night Gordon Fava was in Sacramento playing a concert with his band at the time In Reverent Fear. Gordon saw my guitar that night. He saw the symptoms of years of mistreatment on my bridge, on my pickups and, apparently, on his soul. He took my guitar from me that night. He actually didn't even give me a choice. He simply took it, and returned it to me a couple of days later. It was a new guitar. He had cleaned every square inch of it, adjusted the height of my pickups, and perfected the action. That was a few years ago. A couple of weeks ago I had decided to sell the same guitar, but first I thought I'd take it to Gordon to make it presentable. There are plenty of quality guitar-smiths in Sacramento, but I drove it down to Concord to have Gordon's expertise. After he returned it to me I resolved to keep it. I had forgotten how beautifully it could sound and how wonderfully it could play. Gordon resurrected my love for my guitar."
